Shine the pocket lamp on the sensor PST2 display:

Tester display increases to a value of approx. 97% -100% Displays darken (dimming takes place slowly).

Brightening of the sensor

PST2 display:

Tester display drops to a value of 0 - 5% Displays brighten (dimming takes place slowly).

If there is no change in the dimming, the instrument cluster is faulty.

Tester display approximately equal to the sensor value in I,

Check the wire on the instrument cluster plug I pin 22 to the DME control module for open circuit/short to ground.
