With the Model 1985 the tachometer has shift lever indicators in addition to the former selector lever position indicator on the center console.

A shift lever indicator corresponding with the selector Jever position lights up, if the ignitions is oh or the main car lights are switched on. The indicator goes out only after removing the ignition key.

Should the indicator light not work for any reason, on cars in the V!N range WPOJ B0920FS860061 to WP0JB0927FS 880140, the starting interlock switch, part# 000.545.510.6 on the left side of the automatic transmission should be replaced.

The adjusting procedure remains the same as outlined in the workshop manual.
