1. Both slide controls at "OFF"

Main flap A closes Heater valve W closes Defroster flap R closes Temp, mix flaps are closed hoot well flap is closed Center vent flap E is open

2. Air distribution control at "A/C

Main flap A opens

All other flaps as in position

"OFF"

3. Air distribution control at

Main flap A remains open Heater valve W remains closed Defroster flap B remains closed Foot well flap D opens Center vent flap E remains open by vacuum by vacuum by vacuum via cables withoul vacuum by vacuum

— without vacuum without vacuum by vacuum by vacuum by vacuum by vacuum

4. Air distribution control at

Main flap A remains open Heater valve W remains closed Defroster flap B opens Fool well flap D remains open Center vent flap E remains open

5. Air distribution control at

Main flap A remains open Heater valve W remains closed Defroster flap 8 remains open Foot well flap D closes Center vent flap E remains open

6. Air distribution control at "Def"

Main flap A remains open Heater valve W opens Defroster flap B remains open Foot well fiap D remains closed Center vent flap E closes withoul vacuum by vacuum without vacuum by vacuum by vacuum without vacuum by vacuum without vacuum without vacuum by vacuum without vacuum without vacuum withoul vacuum without vacuum without vacuum

7. Temperature slide control moved to the right (toward warm)

When the temperature control is moved approxirnataly 1 cm to the right from the left stop

Heater valve W opens — without vacuum

Recirculation flap F closes — without vacuum

(only in position "A/C". In other air distribution control positions the recirculation flap is always closed)

Center vent flap E closes — without vacuum

(except in position "A/C" when center vent flap stays open regardless of temp, control position)

As the control is moved further to the right, the temperature mixing flaps C are gradually opened by a bowden cable and more and more air is diverted through the heater core.
